Ideas, Life

In the verge.

That intangible sense, deep in your soul, that’s telling you something is coming. You can’t ignore it but you can’t quite name it either. It’s so illusive that you hesitate to talk about it with even your closest friends. And even if you tried, talk would cheapen it somehow. Without really knowing what it is, you do know that every fiber of your being desires it.  Also, that the thought of it makes your hair stand on end and your heart sink almost painfully into your chest.

My word association: Near. Echo. Imminent. Grasp. Wait. Approach. Secret.

A song: “Wait” by Alexi Murdoch,

“Feel I’m on the verge of some great truth
Where I’m finally in my place
But I’m fumbling still for proof
And it’s cluttering my space”

A quote: “Even in your hobbies, has there not always been some secret attraction which the others are curiously ignorant of – something, not to be identified with, but always on the verge of breaking through…” -CS Lewis

An idea: Living 2012 in the verge.  Not on it, but in it.  Whatever exactly that means is up to you.
