Life, Questions

The Wrong Questions

“So much of life, really, comes down to asking the wrong questions.”

This is as true as it is in business as in life as in art as in relationships. I’ve spent so much time and energy and creativity asking questions that didn’t (and aren’t) getting me anywhere. At least anywhere that I want to be.

Questions that will get you stuck:
– What if?
– Why me? Why not me?
– How can we get back to what used to be?
– Where is the status quo? Where’s normal?
– When will this be over?

Much more compelling questions:
– What’s next?
– Will I choose to grow in the current circumstance?
– How will I (or it) be different next time?
– What do I want?
– Who am I becoming?

Compelling lives (or projects or relationships) are lived out of compelling questions. What’s yours?

  1. I seem to have so many questions, and so few answers! Great post!
