Fully Known, Fully Loved

Merry Christmas! The last few months I’ve been reflecting on what it means to be fully known and fully loved – by yourself, by others, and by God.  This seems to be an especially salient topic during the Christmas season, as Jesus enters our world to demonstrate the degree to which we are known and loved by our creator.

I’ve been exploring this idea through music, delving into an on-going project to create an album which expresses our being fully known and fully loved.  The track-list (version 3.0) is as follows (you can click on the image to see it larger):

Individually, these are songs that draw me in and connect me to a deeper sense of knowing and awareness of God.  Together, I have tried to craft an album that tells the overarching story of the Gospel – of God and his love for us; of the interaction of God’s story and our story.

This has been an experience of worship and wonder for me and my hope is to include you in the process, to build a collaborative project together.  Download, listen, and reflect on these songs with me.  Then let me know what you think!  What you like, what you don’t like, what songs “work” for you, what songs you’d add, or how you’d change the order to tell the story better.

To know and be known.  To love and be loved.

I think this is the journey we are all on.  May you take even a brief moment to rest and reflect on this today.
